The client

The leadership team of an international airline under intense competitive pressure identified that they need to improve the performance and morale of their staff. They had created a new vision and values for the organisation. Their next challenge was to establish it in the business. It was evident that the senior management grade staff numbering 900 spread around the globe would have a key role to play.

Edgecumbe’s contribution

Edgecumbe designed a full programme for the senior management group that was launched at a large scale event attended by all. The event’s purpose was to inspire and motivate all the delegates to understand and adopt the essential behaviours needed to turn the vision into reality. The event included closed circuit broadcasts, an interactive communication event facilitated by Edgecumbe where delegates had the opportunity to discuss and debate the issues and a series of skills workshops to help prepare them for the challenge they faced.

The outcome

The event was considered to be a huge success. What followed was an incredibly successful 5 year period in the airline’s history which established them as one of the top airlines in the world as judged by financial performance and customer satisfaction. The event is regarded as having had a powerful effect in launching this new era.
