Too often, business books and journals flatter only to deceive. They claim to provide access to the Holy Grail: the keys to success. Many alternatives have been offered over the years without much good evidence to support them. We have heard about everything from zero based budgeting to customer service and scenario planning. The only obvious conclusion is that the Holy Grail is elusive and may even be mythical.
